A Picture Says A Thousand Words..

A picture says a thousand words.

Or so this is what one would believe.

Man can be a master of disguise, if they want to be, of course. You could look someone straight in the eye and believe that they are the happiest person in the world, but what you can't see is that deep down, they are at war with themselves, pained by what ails them.

Ignorance is bliss.

We all have demons inside of us, whether it's depression, addiction, narcissism or greed, it will eat away at us until we find a solution. I have always said "If there's a will, there's a way". If you truly want change, you have to want it. It won't happen if you are not ready for it. If you are not ready for it, the pain will continue to devour you. The vicious cycle of the human conscience is our one true enemy. Fear, anger, doubt, sadness, but so very seldom does happiness tend to make an appearance.

Blessed are the forgetful, for they get the better even of their blunders.
- Friedrich Nietzsche

To be oblivious of the "slings and arrows" in life, that would truly be a blessing..

Mother Knows Best

I know this is late, considering Mother's Day was last month, but being a mother is a job that never ends once you become one. Never the less, this entry will always be valid, no matter what day of the year it is.

In my life, I have had the opportunity to do several things, meet wonderful people, and accomplish goals that some couldn't even imagine, but the greatest thing I have ever done, is become a mother.

On a bright and sunny morning in September of 2009, Audrey Leanne arrived. After months of fear, anxiety, excitement and sadness, I still had no idea what to expect, or if I had made the right decision. For those first few days, I consistently beat myself up fearing that I would never be able to measure up to that "parental" figure, that I wouldn't be able to give them what they needed to be happy and survive.

Several tears were cried in secrecy for the first few weeks, and even sometimes to this day, but here I am still standing with the most precious gift that has ever been given to me. I have struggled with health, finances, work and family, but to know that everything that I have done is keeping my little girl happy and healthy, I would do it a thousand times more..

To see her smile, giggle, call me "Mamma" & "Mommy", and to take me in her little arms and hug me with all of her strength, it gives me the strength of 1,000 men, but leaves me weak as the frailest flower.

Though she may never read this, I will be sure that she will always know that her Mommy loves her very much and would be lost without her..
